Our Pastor, Jacquelyn Brannen
Pastor Jackie has been a United Methodist Pastor for the past two
years. She graduated from Andover Newton Theological School with a
Masters of Divinity. She served the Asbury United Methodist and Richmond
Community United Methodist Churches for two years before being appointed
to the East Monmouth United Methodist Church and the United Church
of Monmouth in July 2007.
Before life as a pastor, Jackie worked as a Special
Education teacher and counselor for 19 years. She holds a Masters
in Education in Special Education from Northeastern University and
a Masters in Education in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire.
Much of Jackie s professional work revolved around crisis counseling
and helping families in crisis learn to heal.
Jackie worked for the Division of Children, Youth and
Families for many years to help unite non-custodial families with
their children. She has been a foster parent of several children and
was blessed to adopt three beautiful daughters, Angela (26), Nichole
(18) and Lauren (16). She has two wonderful grandsons; Joshua and
Matthew. Matthew, who is two, currently lives with Jackie and is the
light of her life!
Jackie is an avid reader of murder mysteries! She loves
to garden and has recently taken up drumming! She can be found at
the beach whenever time allows. Traveling is her passion. She is frequently
seen with her furry family. Ashley, Cubby, and Isaiah are felines
with great love and personality. Blessing is not the largest dog but
she is the most affectionate.
